Welcoming Our Eighth Member
Andrea Prais Completes Her World Run in London
London, United Kingdom – 27 June 2026 – The World Runners Association (WRA) proudly welcomes Andrea Prais (Switzerland) as its eighth official member following the successful completion and ratification of her run around the world in London today.
Completing 26,670 kilometres in 554 days, Andrea becomes the third woman to run around the world and the fastest woman to do so. Her performance also ranks as the second fastest circumnavigation on foot ever recorded, across both men and women.
Throughout her journey, Andrea averaged 48,1 kilometres per day while taking only 31 rest days over more than eighteen months—the fewest rest days recorded for a completed world run and the second highest daily mileage on record.
Andrea’s achievement also marks a milestone for the World Runners Association. For the first time in its history, the WRA verified and ratified a world run through continuous live monitoring, combining GPS tracking, live location data, and comprehensive monthly data verification throughout the expedition. This represents a significant step forward in ensuring the transparency, accuracy and integrity of world run verification.
The World Runners Association congratulates Andrea Prais on her outstanding achievement and is honoured to welcome her as its eighth member.
Warm regards,
